Not for nothing... there is somthing to be said about a having a state of the art, all aluminum engine like the Northstar. There are advantages. Lighter weight, sound, exclusivity, if you can even have that in a old gp.... Obvioulsy he had the 3.8 in there and wanted something else... He picked a good engine... The particular gear box is not bad either. Just don't try to rebuild it as there are pretty much no parts available for it.
