Default Possibly overheating???

I don't know if I've just never noticed or if something is about to go seriously wrong with my car but my engine temperature is reading slightly above the middle line. Is that normal running temperature or should I get it looked at. I didnt notice any smell when I was in it but when I got to work and was shoveling the walkway I noticed a that coolent smell but it could have been from the road infront of my office because people were stoped at a light

Usually if your car overheats you'll know it.

Alittle above normal isn't a big deal, keep an eye on it, or if you have a warranty take it in.

I have been getting the same thing in my car. Since 40K. ever so often. I do smell antifreeze. do not see any drips. trans temp is running hot.. 15 degrees outside. trans temp. 215 degrees. and this is babying the gas.

might be the thermostat. might be spilling out of the overflow. i like to solve the problem soon.

Mine is above the middle line pretty often, no antifreeze smells. Usually only around town though, never on the highway.

It is normal to do that. What driving conditions have you noticed this? check your overflow tank and see how much is in there and the condition. If its boiling over the u got a problem, these engines run very hot because of the v8 and the design of the exhaust system.

Its on the driverside of the engine bay pretty much right over the fenderwell and behind your air intake. You shouldn't miss it. If you are having trouble look in your owners manual and it should have a lay out of the engine bay, telling you where everything you need to know is.
