that hood is hot, I'm not a huge fan of 20's though, even though they look good, I just want to go with wider 18's. If you go 20's a shift kit can blow your tranny BOOOO. Too much tangential weight for the increased load on the tranny.

In the summer I run Fusion Nitro wheels on 245/35/20 rubber. The wheels are 20x8.5 all the way around with a 5x115 bolt pattern and a high offset. I can't really recall but the offset is either 35 or 40mm.My cousin just bought a GTP & I'm thinking of selling him my Nitros for a set KMC Novas. Here's a pic of my GXP & the wheel I'm thinking of getting. BTW-another option for you is to find a wheel shop to order the wheels blank and drill the correct bolt pattern for your car.

that's a great idea, thanks man Yeah, the'll forge your rims from a piece of billet aluminum and ship without a bolt pattern. I totally forgot about that option. Similar to the way they do the rims for OCC.

Yep. There's a wheels guy here that I found who can order any wheel blank and drill it to your specific pattern. No matter what car I get in the future I'm no longer limited to what I see in my pattern. I'll just have it drilled.

The only problem with that is coating the wheel after its drilled. Thats what makes me cringe with aftermarket wheels is how short lived their coating is. Especially in salty winters.

That's why I only run the chrome in the summer. I've been changing up like that every since I purchased my very first set of wheels & I have yet to have a problem with peeling or rusting on my summer set. I only wash them with car wash soap and I buff with a mother's polish ball at the beginning of the summer and at the end when they're removed.

I can understand that because you use yours as a summer car. You can see my summer car in my sig. Although modding my GXP will be fun, I don't see 2 sets of rims being practical.

I drive my car all year around. Although this will be the last winter I drive it. You know how it is. I see you're from Palatine .It's just a know fact that if you're driving your car all year long and you want to put wheels on it you just switch back to the factories during the winter. I mean unless you're strapped for cash I don't really see getting rid of the factories anyway. Again that's just the thought process here.To each his own.

I totally agree with you. When I used to have one car, i did the exact same thing you did. Now that I have the GXP and the Mustang, I can't see having a set of summer only wheels for my winter car.

You are right about that. I'm going to leave the 20's on once I get a beater with a heater for the winter.

Damn that looks mean... I was looking for lighter options for wheels.... What specs do you have as far as offset and tire size
