Default Subwoofers....Lets See Them...

Like it says above, I am looking for some bass in my car, and I wanted to see how you guys have made you enclosures, where you put them, and what hardware you are using.

Thanks guys.

I'm running a Sony Xplod 800 watt amp powering two 12" Sony Xplod subs in a ported enclosure. The box is taking up half the trunk, while the amp is attached to the back of the rear seat.

I like my system, although it is probably too much for the car, as I keep the amp at only a little above half volume! But on the flip side I had a 10" Pioneer sub powered by a 400 watt amp, and it wasn't enough. With the 12's I can hear bass that I didn't know songs had before!

Sorry, I don't have any photos, and it's too bloody cold to take any!

Anyone set up a system with the bose? If so how does it sound? I've always heard that with the bose it sounds like **** and i want to stay away from putting an aftermarket stereo in because its a lease.

I'm running an MTX Thunder Elite 801D mono amp & 2 MTX Thunder 7512 subs. The amp is rated at 1600w peak & 800w Rms & the subs are rated at 400w rms. The subs are in a vented box.

Getting ready to drop a 1000w JL amp and a 13.5" JL W7 in the trunk, the box doesn't take up as much space and the thumping goes as far as to make you breathless, if you have an extra grand laying around I HIGHLY recommend this route

Running the stock Bose speakers. I'm no audiophile but it sounds good enough for me. My car is a lease too so I didn't want to do anything hardcore anyways.

I'm running two JL 10w6v2's off a JL 500.1 amp. Got a carputer in the trunk running to a custom 7" touchscreen up front. If you're wanting subs, I'd definately recommend JL's!

You need a Line output converter. Mine is hooked up to my rear right speaker. My single 12 compliments the monsoon system nicely. Just don't expect to win any competitions.

2-12" MTX T7512-04's 400w RMS/800w Peak in a ported box
1-MTX Thunder Elite 801D-800wx1@2ohms RMS/1600w peak. I've had sounds in all of my cars & this setup hits the hardest & deepest of any setup I've ever had.No external crossovers or signal processors.I thought I could get away with the factory speakers since I upgraded my head unit but they'll get upgraded along with adding a 4-channel this summer sometime.
