Default air intake for inferno hood

just bought an 08 grand prix gxp and threw my inferno hood from my old gp on it. was looking at getting one of these (link) but wondering if there is a better option to make use of the hood somehow? maybe k&n? thanks

I think that setup would be fine.... just leave the top lid off of it.

It seems as though it's a better enclosed system then the K&N setup but from what I understand some people where having problems with the unit, once I'ts actually installed It hits the the starter bolts and short them out.

I believe a read that he used duct tape to prevent it from arcing.

The K&N is more than that.

I got the cold air inductions intake, I was thinking on getting the inferno hood and cutting the box to accept the ram air opening. If you end up doing this I would love to see some pic's.

That hood is so BA. Too bad the options for the monte/impala (MPD) are goofy.

i wonder if the ram air opening will lay down perfectly over that box i think its further up on the hood towards the windshield, maybe run a custom pipe to it? i like this idea though
