So the cars a POS just because you thought you'd be happy with a FWD after owning an f-body? Not the cars fault you made a bad choice in car. The car is perfectly fine if you don't think it's something it's not.

And I'd rather have an f-body myself than a new Camaro. You couldn't give me one of them. If you've seen them in person they're huge for a coupe and the interior has got to be one the worst interiors I've ever seen. Not to mention I don't think they're really even remotely good looking, but that's naturally a matter of opinion.

The Pontiac montans and aztecks with the versatrak awd system use indipendent suspension to. So that a good thing. And the rear Diffs are rather tinny. Runn the drive shaft where the exhaust goes.

Absolutely right! For what the car is...family sedan with a V8...it works. Its like going from an F-16 to a crop duster. I just feel like an old married guy in this car. lol! I doubt I will be getting a Zeta Camaro, I just want my old car back. Plus you could kick the holy **** out of an fbody and it would just get up and spit in your face and want some more. These cars if you beat on em, **** start breaking in a hurry.

Yea. People forget what these cars really are sometimes and then don't judge them fairly. It's really not meant to be some all out performance car. It's a family sedan that's got some ***** and can surprise alot of cars. But comparing it to a RWD much lighter f-body naturally it's not going to give you the same fun and would leave you disapointed if what you're really after is a good balance performance car.

I could see maybe feeling old, however I myself at 25 don't feel old driving it. I had a 2 door car before this and didn't want another 2 door car. I'm actually getting rid of mine for a truck next year.

The LS7 is only available in that one very limited edition of the Commodore in Australia. The HSV W427. Pretty sure it's not available in the Caprice.

Does not matter, the point is all the parts are made by GM to turn our rockets into rear wheel drive. Personally I would put the LS9 and 6 speed manual.

Sure it matters it's not really relevant if GM has that stuff. It's a completely different platform its' not like you're just gonna go bolt that stuff right up. That's like saying I have a Ford Aerostar van and saying well the GT500 is RWD and supercharged, so everything is in place for me to make my Aerostar RWD with the 5.4L supercharged motor.

Besides, it would cost you AT LEAST 40-50k to convert your car to RWD with an LS9. Naturally you're just thinking it would cool to have, but at that price along with what your car itself costs to purchase you could have bought a new CTS-V or a Z06 for what you have invested.

You guys are joking…right? That’s not a W-body. I’m all for doing things a little different, but you would have to be insane to cut up a $15,000 car for that. Maybe a totaled one. The amount fab work would be astronomical. No way would the seats fit in there after you put a tunnel in and I can’t even imagine what would be left of the dashboard. The list goes on and on.

W-Body ,yes only means wide body. Seats as you see, mind you they offer it in right and left hand drive. and no you dont have to cut it up much, really!

LOL, what? w-body does not mean wide body. The 2 cars are 2 COMPLETELY different platforms.

The Caprice isn't the same as the G8/Commodore. The Chevy Lumina is the Chevy variant of that car.

So when everybody's tranny blew... what's usually the culprit? ie what's the root cause of the failures... input shaft, clutch packs???
