There wont be one made for our engine, a dry kit is usually universal because there is not much to them.

Im running a wet kit on mine and it cost me $629...there not cheap and if you dont know how to install it yourself, your looking at a hefty price to install it and the proper gauges as well...my total came to about $1500

What kind of mods did you have to do for a wet kit? and what shot are your running?

Usually you can just tap right off the fuel rail snyder(?) fitting for the fuel solnoid. Then just tap the intake runners for the nozzle fittings, do your plumbing and wiring. I've helped install one before but it was on a Mustang 4.6. But that was like 5 years ago now. And he bought a new intake that already had the bosses in it. So maybe this post is pointless???

On a "dry" kit there is only one nozzle so you don't tap into each individual intake runner. The best way to plumb it is to tap the nozzle in BEHIND the throttle plate. This would be simple using a 4.2 TB spacer they make for the Trailblazer. Dry kits increase the fuel by modifying the amount of vacuum at the Fuel Pressure Regulator. I have not researched enough about the LS4 to confirn how the FPR works in order to be able to increase fuel using a dry kit. Also, to engage the activation solenoid, you would tap into the throttle position sensor on previous vehicle's. I'm not sure where you would wire a WOT switch on drive-by-wire besides, maybe just wiring in a manual switch or mounting one to the pedal itself. The only problem I forsee with mounting a switch to the pedal is there is a slight lag associated with drive-by-wire and could cause some issues.

I'm sure a dry kit can be done I just haven't taken the time to really look into it. Good luck in your quest!

I looked at a few things last night. NOS(the company) has a Drive by wire throttle switch now for the newer cars. I think it just wires inline with the factory assembly. Goes off voltage. 1 volt WOT, 5 volt idle.

I didnt have to do any mods just tapped right into the intake elbow for the nozzle, mounted the solenoids to the firewall, mounted the bottle in the trunk, ran the hose to the engine and thats about it. The gauge i mounted on the a pillar right above the tweeter and the button for the purge on the right side by where the throttle is. To activate the system we put the switch right by where you would plug in your handheld tuner if you had one and the bottle warmer switch is right next to that. I'm currently running a 100 shot but plan on moving up to 120 shot by the summer.

If you are using a dry kit I was wondering how the kit increases fuel to avoid going lean while spraying. If you're using a wet kit I'm assuming you're tapping fuel from the shrader valve on the fuel rail. I've seriously thought about spray on my Impala, I just haven't researched it thouroughly yet.

I've had my dry kit for 2 years now. It's a universal LS1 kit from dynotune. Easy to hook up and isn't expensive at all. The kit was less than $300 and the purge was $60 if I remember right. It came with 50/75/100 hp jets. I should get a heater for it, but I haven't . I'll only have this car for another year (lease) and my attention is already diverted to another project.

I herd you can set up a dry system to run off the MAF and IAT/ the colder incoming air alows the computer to inject more fuel making up the differance.

the MAF and IAT will add some fuel but not much. Prob not enough to compensate for another 50-100 hp safely.

No. but on a local LSX bored they said that with a custom tune you could spray though the MAF. But it is a completely different tune that a N/A tune.

How is your kit setup to increase fueling? Does the kit trick the Fuel Pressure Regulator to increase pressure? I'm just wondering because I didn't know anyone had experimented with a dry kit. I have used dry kits on previous vehicles and love them for the price and ease of installation. I just wasn't sure how to go about the setup on a new vehicle. Thanks Again.

In My experience, dry kits can be safely used up to 75 horsepower untuned and up to a 100 tuned. Beyond that a wet kit is recommended.

if i get my car tuned for a 100 or more shot, will the car run crappy when i am not spraying?

and also does a wet kit not need a tune cause it can increase the fuel more effectively?
