Adding "Tap Shift" to my Mote
Adding "Tap Shift" to my Mote I have a Monte drive train that is in my Fiero. I want to add Tap Shift and want to know if it is possable to do with out the special Tap Shift tranny from the GXP?

Thanks for the info on the shifters, but I have a steering wheel from the Malibu LTZ/Vette C-6 with the shifters. They are compatable with the GXP(atleast they have the same resistor values that the TMC needs to see for the upshift and down shift). So I am good on that side of the project. I will just hook it up and see what happens if there are no mechanical limitations to it?

You'll need a Comp-G or GXP PCM and tranny in order to make it function like it should. They are tuned differently and the wiring is different in them from a traditional, but if you have the GXP driveline you should be alright, but you'll need a PCM to make it work.
