Yes, my kit was bought new. You don't have to do all I did to my car, you can bolt on this kit and pretty much go. I had done 1.8 rocker arms prior and also added Patriot Gold Valve Springs. I had my intake manifold ported as well before the turbo went in. My quickest times without the turbo and running slicks was 13.0.
The transmission upgrades were necessary for me as I wanted to run the car on slicks. It is no where near $10 to 13k to do this. The Turbo kit is $5k. You will not find a turbo kit for any other vehicle for around $5k that includes everything Kevin puts in the Car Tuning kit. Let alone running mid 11's and picking up a ton of horsepower!
My transmission rebuild was around $1450. Now I did add some "unbreakable" parts to my transmission due to my intentions with the car which will add to the cost. This was due to running slicks and trips to the track. That included a GM 1" Racing Chain $1k, hardened input shaft $350, PI 3000 RPM torque converter $575.

im really considering buying this kit now knowing that it is relativley that inexpensive per say for the tranny rebuild..i was thinking it was going to cost around 3500$ to rebuild it...put a bottle and a 100 shot and youll be close to low 10's..thats what im gonna do lol

What size is the downpipe on the kit? I thought I read it's 2.5". If so do they offer an upgraded kit to 3"? Do they have any other turbo options? What is the A/R on the turbo with the kit?

Yep, around $3k in the tranny. The GM 1" chain is no longer available, so good luck finding one! The chain is made to handle up to 1000hp, I don't believe anyone has ever broken one. You can go with a 7/8" chain for around $400 or so, but still could be weak at some point.
