Yeah, that was what they said back when I got the initial quote of over $330 last year. They said that they had to use heavier stock to produce the correct spring rate for the Impala (when compared to the $170 Monte SS Springs). I don't know if they are "cheapening out" or just trying to move products at a lower price...but we'll see soon enough.
One thing I'm noticing is that my *** end is already squatting pretty low due to worn springs/struts, so I'm not expecting to see a big difference in the rear. I'll make sure to get pre-install measurements for comparison, though.
