Nice vid appearance Tap!

That new Taurus front end reminds me of my '98 Regal GS. I would rather have a supercharged or turbo V6 for a daily driver.

If you follow GM, they never make anything "good" except for the C5 and C6 more than a couple years (just my list):

69 Camaro
85 - 88 MCSS
85 - 88 Grand National
86 - 88? 350 IROC
94 - 96? LT1 Impala SS
93- 97 LT1 F-Body
98 - 02 LS1 F-Body
06 - 09 LS4 W-Body

Thinking the car just ran it's course.

YA manual trans are need in alot more cars. HELL are they NOT CHEAPER THAN A FANCY 6sp auto.

I think before too much longer you will be unable to get a manual transmission on anything but niche sports cars. The reason? Manufacturers are needing to meet ever more stringent fuel economy and cafe' standards set forth by the almighty government. Why should these standards effect manual vs. auto trans? This question is easily answered because engineers can directly control emissions via auto transmissions by setting specific shift points and engagements, making the engine not work as hard during normal driving and, also keep the engine from revving very high during normal driving thus, increasing economy. If you think cars are getting less fun to drive and definately less fun to work on, blame the government. Just look at the full size truck segment... no manufacturer offers a manual anymore.
