Did you sand the DOD/AFM lettering off the engine cover before you painted it?

yes it is completely smooth....whitcomb did it for me.....

I would leavethe GXP it is cool, and its is one of the thigns that makes our cars special.I removed the GM logo, Planning on removing the Grand Prix on the trucnk, probally leave the V8 though

yeah gm, grand prix and v8 are gone.

Also I noticed that trim on your intake is peeling off as mine, Buff and some others did!!
This what me and Buff Did. We took the weather stripping from the cowl & lined it up on the intake!! Looks perfect & will not rip off! You must recrimp it back on! But thats if you are really particular about issues of the trim. I later ordered an additional piece to line the cowl back on! I'm sure it kept those temps down(while it was off) but I was a little afraid of what could creep in!

Like the engine cover just started working on mine. didnt realize it was vacuum formed till it was too late and made holes. looks cool though.
