O2 sensor/simulator...??s
I just replaced the catalytic convertor on my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix with a Magna Flow model. It mounts the O2 sensor so it it REAL close to the floor boards. I tried to "massage" the floor with a hammer as mentioned earlier in this thread too. I wrapped a worm gear hose clamp around the drivers side rubber HD o-ring hanger to pull the pipe and sensor away from the tight spot. I was wondering if there is such a thing as a shorter sensor?? I saw a 90 degree adapter as shown...euro listing for $$ on Ebay. Is there a plug in anything that eliminates the need for the downstream sensor? That works?? That works w/o turning the SES light on? Appreciate any help!!
BTW, I wrote a little about this under my Grand Prix taillight help thread too.
Thanks

Yeah, that 90 degree fitting is available at http://www.bigdaddiesgarage.com/?gcl...FWV75QodumH8uQ. There are electric O2 sensor simulators too. Google it. O2simulator.com is one, there are lots of others as well as plenty of info on how to make one.

I have a 3in DP from ZZP installed on my Regal GS. I do not have a code and I passed emissions back in July. My entire exhaust was inspected from front to back. I was looking to get a DP for my Monte. Will I have these problems too?

I live in middle of NY State and my 07 SS has been inspected twice with the Hogan catted 3" down pipe with no problem and nothing ever said. As far as getting a code, I went 8 months without getting a code, I can only assume that perhaps there is some corrosion going on with the plain steel spark plug adaptor I used, perhaps the stainless steel ones would last a lot longer, I don't know. I now throw a code about once every 3-4 weeks. It only takes a second to clear it with my Cotex tuner, but I plan to slide under the car sometime and check it out.
