Are you looking for something that will hook up better at the track? While the RSA's are crap, you could just get a set of drag radials on a pair of lightweight 16's for that, and drive your RSA's to their death.

Like Panther said, they will help you a bunch. Michelin Pilot Sport 2's (PS2's) are the best street performance tire money can buy. They are standard equipment on the Porsche GT2 and GT3, as well as the McLaren SLR, if that tells you how good they are. For your size (235/50-18), tirerack.com sells them for $186 each.

Good performance tires have the added benefit of being able to save your bacon better in a panic stop, because they are so sticky. Always a good thing!

You will not see a world stopping difference, especially off the line, (blame the LS4's torque) but the difference is noticeable. And, if you plan to take the SS to the track they perform far better than the RSA's, but not as good as drag tires.

Hope this helps you!

Clay

KDW's are damn good tires for the money, however they don't last the longest.

I just did some falken 912's. i read they are leaps and bounds over the 512's for under $10 less. plus i think they have a mileage warranty.
