damn i am on the gxp all the time as i ride around in first and second on the strip alot and 75 on the freeway and im still averaging 19

 

thinkin about selling and getting a silverado SS AWD. just a little worse economy plus AWD for the snow, and towing capabilities.

 

LOL..A little worse? Don't those things get, like, 10 MPG in the real world? (Not EPA ratings!)

 

i get around 28mpg highway and like 14-15 city

 

^^ I only get 8-12 mpg. The highway would really show the difference between the two.

 

My DIC shows me 14.7 mpg but I drive in the city mostly. On the highway at 72mph I think the instant says like 26 or something

 

does anybody get better or worse mpg with a down pipe

 

I just put a catless dp on my Impala when I had the trans work done. In 300 highway miles since yesterday, it looks like I've picked up about 1 MPG. And I've not yet gotten a tune to match my dp and CAI.

 

i hear around 12-13ish range, i do 99.8% city driving so my gxp gets i would say 14-16 average, my dic says like 16.xx. so i mean to me the added AWD + towing/hauling capabilities is worth the extra 3-4 mpg's. also i absolutly hate FWD in the snow.

 

i get about 14 in the grandprix and about 18 in the malibu. Almost 90 percent stop and go. Sometimes the grandprix does a lot worse.

yeah its not too far off. we'll see if my car sells, if not gonna trade it in.

 

16 average and falling because of winter, almost 99% city. 4.1 mile commute to work.

 

I've honestly just stopped caring. It's a 300+ hp V8.

However I do get phenomenal HWY mpg's with my tune. Like 28-30 going 72. City blows a bag of dicks though at like 15 and worse now since I idle for the winter with remote start.

Either way, I figured this wasn't an "economy" car when I went to buy it. If I was that concerned I would have bought an Acura or Honda.

thats about what i said in another thread. " if i was worrying about mileage i would have bout a prius." i was just saying how i could get AWD and towing while only sarificing a couple MPGs

I was in for a shocker in the Trailblazer. I was getting around 17mpg overall in the Impala, which isn't bad for 75% city driving.

Well the Blazer is netting about 13mpg lol. I was thinking about 15, and I'm driving her easy! But I did find the air filter nearly plugged today when I was checking fluids. I'm pretty upset about it since it was 'serviced' the day I bought it. Good thing filters are cheap.
