Default 2006 Impala SS Mufflers-Flowmaster
I am looking to get Flowmasters for my 2006 Impala SS.

The problem is, I keep finding different information on the inlet/outlet. LS1 tech the consensus is it is offset in/offset out. Impala forums I had someone say it was offset/center.

Is there anyone with Flowmaster Super 44's on the Impy that can tell me the part number and confirm?


Any help is appreciated!

My Flowmasters are offset in and offset out. Every other person I know of with Flowmasters has the same.

A good muffler shop could probably make either one work though.

The stock is offset/center. If you wish to resuse your stock (curved) tips, I would stick with it. If you are looking to also change to a straight tip, then the offset/offset makes sense.

Ok thanks for the help guys. I wanted to reuse the stock tips but already ordered the offset/offset. What size tips should I get that would work?

Mine is offset/center 2.25 and I have had both flowmasters and now have magnaflows. The flowmasters were louder for sure, but I like to smooth note of the magnaflows
