Nacho, did you get the anti-pogo washers? If not, would you get them if you had the chance to do it again? This goes for anyone who has the SSC springs

These washers have a different depth that the factory strut top plate washers. They engage the rubber bushings all the time giving the car a much firmer feel and eliminating the "pogo" effect that many users complain about after installing lowering springs.

No, I didn't. I was told they aren't necessary. I have no "pogo" feel whatsoever. Springs are great, my favorite mod for sure.

I don't think I need 'em....no pogo. The ride is near factory.

Yep, I asked about them and they said they weren't necessary. Their springs are a cut above though...a definite good mod choice for sure.

Since we're waaaaaaay off topic already, let me chime in:

I have the halos as well, and have had them as long as (longer than?) anyone else here. Nick's experience is way worse than any I've ever heard of...and more than a few at NAIOA have these lights. Mine get foggy once in a while, but not often at all...and it goes away almost immediately. Occasionally do they fog up at the pressure washer places, but never in the driveway. The lenses do not show any yellowing. The halos themselves are good...but the ballast/inverter boxes are poor quality and can go bad quickly. Mine have been fine, though, for many months...can't remember how long the newest set of lights have been installed. They can be replaced with the same cheap units for $20/pr., or you can buy better quality after-aftermarket ballasts/inverters for around $30-40 with a warranty.

Regarding the light output, I have the DDM tuning HIDs with standard H3 5000k HID bulbs (not H3c - smaller, foglight bulbs). The output is great...plenty of light.

Lastly, I have the SSC springs on KYB GR2 struts and get a little of the pogo (bouncy) effect...wishing that I installed the special washers, but decided against them.

Haha Buff...I don't know. Maybe I got a crap set of headlights two times in a row. The Halo rings are now all burned out because of the cheap inverters.

Overall guys I love the DDM HIDs in 6k and 3k. 6k is the perfect "just blue" temp I was looking for and the 3k fogs are perfect in the fog and they look downright evil at night.

Sorry for the crappy pic....had to crop myself out of the pic.

and sorry for the Mel and the gang.

Did you just leave the stock shocks and replace the springs or what?

Any problems with the HIDs in the low beams blinding traffic? Since they aren't housed in a projector?
