LS4 on TH350

LS4 on TH350 Whats up all? Will an LS4 mount on a TH350? I have a buick 350 that is in desperate need of a rebuild...and I'm thinking that in the meantime I could just drop an LS4 in it. I keep seeing them on ebay for just a little over $2k. Anybody know? Or would an LS1 be an easier project?
I think you need an adapter plate. LS4 has a FWD transmission bolt pattern.
As panther said, you will have issues with the starter, since the LS4 doesn't have a starter mounting boss cast into the block - our starters are mounted on the transmission.

**** look for newer truck motors. 4.8-5.3 are almost 300 at the fly and can be found for under a grand for sure was just looking last week. I mean heres an engine and tranny for under 2k. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/5-3-V...%3A1|72%3A1171

Yeah I could see the issues using the LS4 plus the LS1 is much more common...hell I may be able to find one at the salvage yard. I just hope I don't get too used to the new motor in the old school...would like to keep it all original. Just sick of it sitting up though. If I choose to rebuild it...it's gonna sit up for atleast another year. But the mor I think about it....it would be cool to have a fuel injected super charged old school sleeper one day.
