Tranny Bump

07 Monte w/ 8500 miles When driving around 25 -35 MPH and I punch it I get a very hard thump It feels like the tranny......Thoughts??

My guess would be either a transmission or engine mount is bad. Do you have an aftermarket downpipe? If so, this could be hitting the sway bar. Hope this helps.

no down pipe and she still kicks *** in the other gears on the hiway

Is it still under warranty? If so, bring it in to the dealer. My guesses are engine or trans. mount and maybe a bad axle or cv joint. I am sure it is probably one of those.

its just the downshift it shifts hard sometimes happens to me too

My '07 SS with 18,000 miles has the same driveline lash you describe; it's symptomatic of the loose converter and TCM calibration. I am still playing with HPT to try and get the goldarned tranny to behave like I want it to!
