Default DP7S or DP5S

Ok guys, I'm ready to finally buy a downpipe but I am conflicted on which one to choose. I would value your input.

Basically, from what I can gather, the DP5S comes without a cat and you have to weld it "to your original converter." <cough, cough>

And the DP7S comes with a high flow magna flow cat that can be configured to be bolted up to your existing exhaust.

Here is the question. I don't have my GXP availible to look at (I am in Iraq). How difficult is it to access the bolts under the hood? What have you guys done with your DP? I appreciate the advice.

I am starting a parts collection to install when I get back home.

haha where in the sa boat brother, im in iraq doing the same thing, gotta **** load of parts at the house waiting..my adivce is, they have one downpipe that for 299.99, it has the high flow cat, but also includeds a bolt in test pipe, so you can switch the cat out whenever you feel like. i like that ideal better, because up in fort drum you need a new york inspection sticker to get on post, so you can always put the cat back in about ten minutes worth of work.

I know! I am from Rochester (home station is Fort Bliss). DP7S is what I was thinking. For the extra money, being legal and having a non-permanent installion is tempting.

The stock down pipe unbolts from the manifold from under the car. Very easy. I had to cut the bolts that held it to the pipe. Still not to bad. I went with the cat less and welded it to custom 3” exhaust, with out welder very difficult. I thought no cat was a bit much but that’s just me. The down pipe with cat should be simple to put in.
