Uhhh....what?! It lists the intake on Intenses website under the SS Impala, have you actually made contact with them to confirm that it wont fit? I'm not doubting you, it's just that I'd like to know before Friday so I don't waste my money lol.

Dammit! Well, is it because the tubing is too large? Or is it because the air filter is? Cause I have a P.O.S. conical air filter I stole from my buddies GTP when he upgraded his intake lol. It was less then half the size of the 9 inch K and N (the one that comes with the FWI) that was on my GTP.

If there is no hope, then this breaks my heart

Haha, any suggestions? Rig one up I guess?

The computer starts pulling timing when the iat hits 95 degrees, and that will cost you power.

Well, the part number for the mufflers you gave me was wrong lol. That PN was for a Ford Super Duty. Lame. Anyway, I'm just going with a custom 2.25 exhaust with the Flowmaster 44's, but I'll need to figure out how the Hogan Downpipe I want will bolt/weld on to my new exhaust =(. Being that the flange is 2.5 and all....any ideas?

Ok, and I assume curt is the guy who owns/runs Hogan Performance? I'll check how much it would be with him shipped compared to the exhaust shop here in town. Chances are it would be easier to just get a 2.25/2.5 made up by someone here in town then it would be to get one shipped from god knows where lol. My real question was that would the 3 inch downpipe from Hogan bolt right up to a 2.25 exhaust. It says on the website it will only bolt to a 2.5. If that's the case, I'll just get a 2.5 made if it means I can get the DP in the future.

One other thing, I still can't find the PN for those Flowmasters. I looked up the mufflers that Corny had on his Impala and they don't say they fit an 06 Impala. So corny, if you remember the PN for the mufflers you have on your SS, let me know. I want those exact ones. They're Super 40's correct?

I put Delta flow 40 series on my 08 SS. P/N 842541 - these are stainless 2.5"

They sound excellent.

If you have DoD on it will give you the "helicopter" sound in 4 cyl mode but that doesn't phase me. I went 3" to the Y and 2.5" from there.

Well, speaking of DoD....how the hell do I tune it out? I want to shut it off completely to keep the car in 8cyl mode at all times. Any ideas?

Either get a Diablosport tuner and run one of the non-DOD tunes (or get a custom one from DiabLew-06monteSS) or get HPTuners and do it yourself.

The Hogan DP comes ready to bolt up to the stock exhaust. The back end of the DP tapers down to 2.5", but Curt can NOT taper it and keep it at 3". He will have to sell you a different flange though, to match the one he puts on the 3" pipe, so whoever you have install it can weld it up to your exhaust and they can bolt up together.
