last one I sat in was a crown vic, and the whole entire back area and bench seat was plastic/resin...
I'm guessing so that the whole back seat area could just be hosed out if necessary... LOL

The one I sat in I got taken downtown cause a guy bout 120 heavier than me disrespected my mom and met mr iron pipe
. Guy walked into my moms apartment and up the stairs cussing and telling my sister the music was too loud. He then met the bottom of the stairs
. Black seats no padding and cop said he would have done the same. Charges dropped as judge felt I was defending my family and home. Still an arrest for Aggravated Assault on my record. Moral is don't mess with mom. Oh, and I took the pipe off her how bout that?
