Default Question for those with a tune

Did it take your car a few days to learn the new tune? Mine is driving weird, surging a little while at steady throttle. My tuner said to give it a few days since it just got reflashed. I don't want to have to drive (an hour) back over there to get it fixed, I'm just worried about it. He suggested unplugging the battery to reset it too. Any thoughts?

Also, what have these cars seen bone stock on a dyno? I'd like to know how much my mods actually got me.

You shouldn't be having those kind of problems with a new tune.

Maybe the govt. was able to get to your tune and Obamafy it. Did you ever get that Onstar shut off?

I think bone stock, we're at about 240? :\

I have mine done by trifecta not sure what yours was done by the same company. The first lil while i noticed cruising while using cruise(at 50km) my rpms went up and down about 75 rpm barely noticible. then the night of i pulled my battery cable. Since then no probs. Get your tuner to do some logging and see if everythings good.

the dyno operator was convinced the car was dumping extra fuel into the mix bwcause of cat overtemp i think it was wither my exhaust setup was contacting the body and causing false knock and timing retard or due to poor air flow readings without the MAF screen i think the MAF would read more or less air than what was actually going in the engine then the 02 sensor would try to correct it and thats why the chart is so bumpy

My problems all but disappeared on the drive home tonight, maybe the computer is getting adjusted. I'm going to give it until next week before getting it re-tuned. Will the Torque Control being gone hurt anything? I'm just worried about my transmission with it being 100% gone, however, my tuner is 80 miles away and I don't have a handheld...see my predicament?

Dont dick with it, why you all seem content with getting another inch from a mile makes me wonder.

I've never heard of the computer needing to "adjust" for any period after a tune. Once the parameters are set, it should run according to those parameters. If it's running crappy, you should bring it back to your tuner to fix it.

Yes! everytime you flash your computer you have to allow for the re-learn (50-75 miles). Only when you adjust PE fueling is it Immeadiate.

correct ^ ^ ^ ^

everytime the ECM is flashed, all learned parameters, such as fuel trims, emissions tests, etc etc, all get reset and need to be relearned by the ECM...

Turns out it was converter lockup. The converter is coming unlocked and then locking up again under light throttle. I'm going to head back to my tuner in a few weeks or so to get it touched up. Until then it's just going to annoy the **** out of me.
