If he could drive it should be a no contest. A buddy of mine ran 12.8 @ 109 in a EVO X with full exhaust and a tune, with a 2.0 60 foot, so there's a bunch of room to improve.
I just read 2006 EVO MR, I thought you ran a Evo X. The 06 MR still should have an advantage though - maybe the locals here are faster then most lol.

EVO Xs are slower than the XIII and IX... It just handles better, I pulled away from my dad's from 40. He was pissed, I think he should've kept the Sky Redline.
It was stock at the time and I haven't talked to him since, I'm sure he's done stuff to it.

I dunno about that. A friend of mine ran 13.2 @ 103 in a stock EVO X in summer heat. They're comparable stock, but certainly not slower.
The EVO X's gain a lot more power from bolt on's that the 8's and 9's by a large margin.
