Lowered the Monte! need a fender roller tool!
Pics are coming soon.
Anyone know where to rent a fender roller tool? I'd prefer to use one rather than use a mallet and wash cloth to beat up the fender lip in the rear.

Yea I think so, i took it for a quick spin today and when I took a turn going up a hill, i heard a scrape. After I got home, I checked the rear fender lip and they both had little black scuffs on them. I haven't gotten a 4 wheel alignment yet, so maybe since the camber is off it is rubbing. To be safe, I'd like to roll it.

I payed $212.95 shipped from SSC directly, then bought 4 moog cam bolts for $41. My buddy works for a parts store and gave me his discount on the bolts, they would have been about $67 with out it.

Does you know of any websites that lay out the steps on how to roll the fenders with a mallet and a heat gun?

That rolling tool instruction manual says to use an infared thermometer and make sure its heated to like 125-140 degrees checking frequently. I would assume you want to do the same thing with the manual method.

I think there is a guy on here that rents it for 40 dollars. I remember seeing this in the classifieds a couple of weeks ago. May want to contact him. Here is the link:

I don't have any links but there are many write ups across the grand prix forums. Its basically the same as when using the fender roller except with a rubber mallet. You heat up the rear inner fender and use the rubber mallet to hit up the fender. I recommend you do it in sections all the way around. The heat gun keeps the paint from cracking. Just take your time. You can do both rear fenders in under an hour.

On the note of rolling....I think I may try the good o' mallet and heat gun method
I'm staying w/ the stock struts...no need to spend a few hundred $$ to change something that will work fine.
Last but definitely not least....Pictures of my Monte lowered will be up in a few minutes!!
