Was your car a rental?
Mine 08 Impala SS started as a rental. It even had a special code on the the build sheet indicating it had a rental package.
It was 9 months old and had 14k miles when I got it. Probably saved at least $8k off the purchase price.
It looked fairly clean, but the detail guys missed all the Doritos under the trunk mat and in the spare well and the plastic dinosaur in the rear fenderwell.

My Monte was a rental but it doesn't have the rental code on it...it was bought by a company in Florida that used it as a loaner for out of town business associates.
It was a rental/loaner for 10K and then a guy in Michigan owned it for another 6K and now its mine....37,840 miles still going strong....

Mine was a florida rental. I got it with 8K on the clock and saved over 10k. It has a couple of small dents and scratches. The paint has swirls in it but not for very much longer

I don't own a rental, but thought this article would be interesting to Impala owners whose cars were rentals:

Are you sure your car has side airbags?

Mine was a rental, I purchased with 9K miles and over 12k off sticker. No complaints here but i just had my first tranny replaced, no biggie. Tranny is covered until 100K and she only has 29K on her now.

Mine was a rental, got it with 16k miles. I think she's probably had a rougher life with me, 41k miles on the clock. Only problem I've had was the hub assembly had to be replaced on the driver side at about 33k? And the usual rear alignment issue.

Thanks for the replies. I probably should have posted the topic different since I doubt former rental owners are in the majority on this forum.
I'm sure I saved at least $10k off list - but I figured I could have saved some off list if I had bought it new.
The SS emblem in the steering wheel is partially pushed in, the rear bumper was repainted, there were a couple small blemishes in the interior (not the seats or dash), it needed a four wheel alignment which the dealer provided, a couple rims had the rough edge from being "curbed". The sheet metal was clean and straight and it came with new floor mats, and no signs it was overabused (no scrapes on frame from jumping, no major wrecks, etc). I really liked the whole package so the minor blemishes were well worth the savings.
