Default GM Newbie here.

I just bought an 07 MC SS. I was wondering about the wheels, any products out there to shine them up? Also if i remove the resonator will that throw codes?

You could find an 08 imp ss that has the chrome SS wheels.

the wheels are clearcoated so metal polish is no good. treat them as you would your paint and clean them with soap/water and then wax.

you could pull the strip the clearcoat and really polish them but then the upkeep is a nightmare. ppl do it with the ws6 ta rims. i wanted to try it but didnt want to ruin a perfectly fine set of wheels.

Thanks for the input guys. I think i'll just wax the wheels. I'm going to get the resonator removed and order some Flowmasters. Hopefully that will give me the sound i want.

i wish i wouldve just went with the cutout from the beginning. granted its nice and loud now..but some days i just wish my exhaust would be quiet.

I agree. It is a last resort if your wheels are hazed, scratched or pitted. One step before biting the bullet and buying new wheels.
