You can get cutouts with the same type of control - I would think that would be a lot easier than trying to adapt this to the car. Also, I would prefer putting the cutout closer to the engine as the gases are hotter there and therefore maybe a little more benefit. At minimum there is going to be some fabrication at the back bumper cover to have two indents on each side instead of one.
