Default Catless with cutout?

Is it doing more harm than good? As a couple of you know, I cut my cat out a few months ago and replaced it with a cutout. It sounds great, but is it robbing performance with no back pressure?

I'm getting new plumbing welded up next month, and I wanna know if I should get a cat reinstalled.

Also, fyi, I'm just running mufflers, no res either.

Here's a couple of vids, since I'm sure I'll be asked for. They're relatively old. lol

Dunno why he said 'conversion kit' and I know the tips were out too far.

Rasp is from the exhaust leaking through the clamps, which is why I'm getting one welded.

I really doubt that you are losing performance by removing the cat. I ran n/a without a cat (hogan catless down pipe). You are picking up more on the higher end.

I was just making sure, DP mentioned something about thinking N/As needed back compression.

It has a lot more pull in the high end, especially with the cutout open.

the more i talk to people JP i dont think we need the back pressure like other people were talking about...yes you will lose low end torque but the top end will be better....i am either just goin to leave my cutout where its at or if i get this job i have an interview for next week....its a governemnt job i may be ordering the 3in cutout and putting it on the DP in front of the cat

I sold my catless DP to chefcub who has it with a cutout and you loose a little on the fat low end, but up top....its dirty. We are talking upshifts at 55-57mph (tuned).

My 1-2 is set right around 55 or 56 tuned. I still have a lot of pipe, my cutout's back by the rear tire. My car laughs at 3v Mustangs, I don't think it hurt performance.

I kill Mustangs all the time, haven't ran into a 2010 yet though, except for a twin turbo 03 GT, raced for the hell of it I did have fun embarrassing a 2007 GT, had is gf in the car and everything. I slowed down and I saw her laughing at him, who looked very pissed, lol.

I typically run in manual mode, and shift at 55 like yours, it registers 57 before it actually shifts though. Drag out 2nd til 102, when I need to.
