first time at the track I went to Summerduck last night. I ran the car 12 times and it only cost me 15 bucks. Meet alot of nice and helpful people. What I learned: I don't know the vocabulary, things are moving too fast when staging, I can't launch and I felt like a Yugo out there. Most importantly I learned that I want to do it again and again. Not bad, I went the other night and netted a best of 9.0 @ 77 in the 1/8th, that was a 14.01 @ 97 in the 1/4, with a 2.12 60 foot.
What are your mods? You're around a 14.3-14.4 in the 1/4 judging your 1/8th E.T and trap speed.

Im heading there in about 30 minutes trying to break into the 13's. My PB is a 14.02 at about 99 if I remember correct. I have new tires fresh oil and tranny fluid, clean k&n and a heavy foot wish me luck.

I took mine out earlier this year and felt the same. I've been at the dragstrip every year for the last 25+ years, though very few times the last few years.
Keep going. After a couple more nights you'll get the routine down.
My best so far is 14.14 in the 1/4 and 9.16 in the 1/8.

It was a wonderful 75 degree low humidity night. Great for racing. Too bad there were too many cars there for the shootout and they cancelled Test & Tune soo no new times to post. However my friend got his 04 body in white Cobra done and broke the 1/8th drag radial mph record for the track by 6 mph before throwing a rod. lol But 141 in the 1/8th is sick for a drag radial car. He also qualified first for the shootout in his True 10.5 fox body.
