Get a tune done. There are many companies out there. I personally went with trifecta. Im sure theres a couple more that are pretty good aswell. Im in the same boat. I know my car can pull a high 13 but Im not a good driver lol and cant launch worth shi*!

edit:
take your subs, plus anything in your trunk out. every lil bit helps. my trunk stuff is about 200 lbs extra weight.

I went last friday but didnt get to run. Im going again this friday I have my fingers crossed. I ordered a few parts and hope they get here soon enough for me to install them before the end of season or good weather.

I was suppose to go to the track tonight, but I got rained out. The solution I am moving towards is to dump my diablo tune and go nitrous.

Apparently all you need is traction, a good altitude, and cool weather, there are a couple of stock GXPs around 13.8.

And like Derek said, lose the subs and any other extra unneeded weight, assuming you migrated them from the Silverado, if not, you're cherry

I'd say get a tune, and sticky tires.

I ran 14.0 @ 97 a couple weeks ago on 235/50/18 all seasons. Mods are K&N Intake, leaking Hogan Downpipe, and Magnaflow exhaust.

Im going to wait on the tune until my DP gets here, I have some Hoosiers that are very sticky but they are too short 245/35/18's if you know anyone that could use them they are sitting in my shop collecting dust. Thanks all for the advice.

They are short enough to change the grearing so instead of being at the top of 2nd at the 1/4 im in the middle of 3rd. I would run quicker 60' but almost the same 1/4

I forgot Impalas don't have Tap, is there anyway to hold it in 2nd? I'm sure you know, but the shift to 3rd is about 12 mph too soon.

Before my tune in Auto it shifted at 48 and 89, after 51 and 101.

When are you getting the tune and DP.

DP next week Tune the week after. It holds 2nd with my regular tires on but with those 245/35/18 hoosiers it hits the rev limiter before the 1/4 it caught me by surprise the first time and helped me run a 15 something
