Default starting problems

Hi im new to this sight just picked up a 06 MCSS a little over a month ago and im already having a few problems. For one when i go to drive to work in the morning when i use the auto start it tries to start and then just dies. I then start it normally and it cranks slow and then turns over starts. Also everyone once and a while the service brake assist light goes on. just curious if anybody has any input to what it could be.

The symptoms are not those of a failed battery. I would look at cleaning the battery terminals and making sure that they and the various grounds are tight. I would then look at the output of the alternator.

yes they are... that's EXACTLY how mine acted when my original battery went out on me...

acted like that for a few days... then after that, nuthin'!! had to jump start it... once jump started it would stay running... but when I shut if off, 1-2 minutes later it was dead and had to be jumped again...

those are the symptoms of bad cells in the battery...

and yeah, getting the battery out is a friggin' PITA!!!!

I just had mine replaced with an Exide from a vendor we deal with...$70. My Delco at 56K was not long for the world... I had to turn the battery on end and have my buddy hold the electrical center.
