My opinion is that pretty much every aftermarket HID kit is the same. From my expierences, the install is the most critical part. Mount the ballasts where they don't get much heat and don't vibrate much. And make sure the kit comes with a relay.

Here is the kit I got for my car. A little more expensive than the Ebay kit, but these ones have a Lifetime warranty.

I went with a kit from www.ddmtuning.com. Same warranty as posted above, about the same pricing. The only thing I would wonder is why you would want an 8k kit? The light will have a slight purple tint to it and not be as bright as something in the 4k range.

I went with the 4500k kit and a harness - holy crap there was a huge difference in light output! The car had Philips Xtralife craptacular bulbs in before....those are some of the worst bulbs ever for light output. There were times I'd be driving home at dusk and wonder if my headlights were actually on. I don't have that problem now, and I don't get flashed from oncoming vehicles either. Didn't even have to re-aim the lights either.

Wow, that kit from DDM looks like real high quality, especially for the price. I think I may just pony up for one finally. Much better than anything I see on ebay.

X2. Most these kits use the same cheap Chinese made ballasts. So they're pretty much all going to be the same regardless of who you get them from. I'd just buy based on if they give you a warranty or not. I know quite a few that have been using the ddm kits lately, that's probably where I'd go if I was in the market. And definitely make sure it comes with a relay. With these kinds of kits it's dumb to spend more than $100-$150 since they're all the same, unless you find a company that put together a kit using a brand name ballast such as Philips or something. And then I don't know that paying 2-3 times as much is worth. I'd also recommend going with a 4300k-6000k kit. I had a 5000k kit in my SS when I had it and loved it, then again I was going for function over form and didn't want really blue light which an 8000k kit will be.

I'm looking for a good headlight upgrade for my GXP... I looked at DDMTuning and I have no idea what one is for my GXP. Can anyone help me with what one I need to get?
