I talked to Nick at doug thorleys today, he said he just came back from SEMA, but they said they will be working on the car very soon, and still thinking about runing 2 downpipes.....he said it will be a tough job to do.

I hope he is opptimistic about getting positive results. I hope with 2 downpipes it won't be that difficult to join into my Magnaflow catback. I wonder how dificult it would be to convert the mf into a dual exhaust.

If we had a much more aggressive cam, then okay, but as it stands....meh. I'd love to try a 218/224 at 112 LSA in this motor. Again, plans call for a merged collector off of two DPs, but room is a factor.

I was thinking about this over the weekend...how many of the 30-odd or so of you that have gotten on board with this project are heavily modded (meaning cam, heads, intake and/or a combination thereof) OR will go that route if headers come to pass? I know there's one out there that is already pretty radical.

I think more people will want to after the factory warranty expires and the used ones get less expensive. Making it easier for people to know what is worth the money is the hard part. Putting 5 grand into a vehicle that's worth 10 isn't practical for some people.

The only things I'm missing are ported heads and a cam, which I would only do with headers. This will give me the opportunity to do so down the road. my goal from day one has been a 12 second, 325-375 whp 4 door dd. Hopefully this will pave the way.
I'll probably break more crap before then, though (I still need to work on the tune and figure out where my missing HP has gone--nothing to do with the tune though.)

they will, however the stock intake (even ported) is going to be a big restriction as well.

my intake is out for stage 2 porting as we speak. so ya there is more planned in the future. RR's, tune, beefed up tranny and to top it off an inferno hood....

'07 GXP here. It's been a while since posting in response to the header prototyping. I am still interested in getting them. I'm not sure how much more I want to do to mine, with such a small amount of aftermarket, upper midwest winters (it's my daily driver), and potential torque steer issues.
