At this point it's all conjecture until they take my car apart. They are contemplating two sizes of primaries, but at this point their main focus is getting ready for SEMA in Las Vegas as they are leaving tomorrow to go set up. I met up with Nick and his dad last night, and I have basically given Nick an open time frame with my car so they don't have to feel like they're rushed.

What sizes are they contemplating? 1 5/8" and 1 3/4"?

Anything is better then nothing and I could care less about my down pipe as long as the headers will include a new one. Keep up the great work Will and buick racer. After I get my LS6 intake installed, I'll be quick to make the purchuse even if there a grand, but first things first, and thats opening up the intake side of this engine. If you want my info I can give it to you but I won't be ready for them till after Christmas.

Yes, those are the sizes. While 1.625" would still work well, they want to try 1.750" first.

I'm not an expert but I'm thinking the 1 3/4" will make more power. Wait, what mods does your car have? The 1 5/8" might work better on a stock car.

1-5/8 will be enough for just a 5.3. I think you lose back pressure or something if you go bigger (1-3/4 or 1-7/8) with the smaller v8s. Might not be bad since it will be y'd down to a single 3 rather quickly.

It will depend upon your level of mechanical aptitude. I've changed out headers a number of times and I can tell you from experience it's really nice to have a rack available, as sometimes headers have to be fed in from the bottom.

Ah the beauty of being the military. We have "Auto skills" shops on all bases, many lifts different style, torches, paint booths, tools, air hoses to every lift pretty much anything you an imagine in a real auto shop..
