UPDATE 11/23/09:

Nick at Thorley called me at 3 PM Pacific time today…the front header is 100% done, the rear header is 80% done, and the collector pipe is done. They “hope” to have the preproduction set done and run on the dyno before Thanksgiving, but a more realistic estimate is mid to late next week since they will be closed for the long weekend.

With the design of the system, is it going to bolt somehow onto the Hogan Downpipe? Or will the length of the headers etc. be beyond that point? Will there be any potential to run a true dual exhaust into say the Magnaflow catback with a few cuts here and there.

From looking at the stock set, It's going to be VERY difficult for these to work with any of the aftermarket downpipes. Realistically I'd be looking to have some exhaust work done to hook into a the factory (or aftermarket) cat back system. IMO, at least.

No, they will not work with the Hogan DP as each header has their own downpipe going into one merged collector under the car.

Ok, I can see we need a review: this is a header system where each bank has its own DP leading into one merged collector under the car, not the front cylinder bank feeding into the rear into a single DP.

I would love to do this, but I am on the fence about the car as it is. I am flip-flopping between selling it and getting an F-body or maybe an Avalanche (sheesh, those are expensive).

Wife wants an Acadia, but I need to keep car payments to a minimum. If I can sell the GXP and get enough for it, I would put the cash towards her truck.

I AM SO CONFUSED!!!!

In any event, sounds like it is going along pretty well.
