a bigger converter is not necessary unless you swap the cam and get slicks.

I'm talking about moving the powerband north, as in a higher stall. The cam swap would help yes...but slicks? Unrelated...

a stall is not going to "move" the power band, it just lets the engine rev higher. Why would you want to rev the engine higher with a stall on street tires? Most people can't get traction with the stock stall using street tires, let alone using a bigger one. Your just going to spin your tires. That stock stall is perfect for the power range of the engine. Unless you change something that affects the powerband ike the cam, the power range isn't going to change much.

One could say coupling a converter, cam, headers, ls6 intake would change/move the powerband.

Maybe I should just contain myself. It seems like we have a lot more mods that are finally starting to develop for the LS4 that actually make power now

Nice gains AG....with some other mods here and there I think you are on to the formula for a sub 13 N/A pass. Perhaps a little N20 soon?

Was your car ever dyno tuned before you installed the headers?

It was tuned with the catless DP and a cutout.

I was just about to guess something like this. I was actually going to ask what the real need for a tune was. I'm not disagreeing with you, but one of my friends said I needed to get a tune after the headers. The reason I was gonna ask was because my friend has been known to be wrong.

Was that 224hp rating an actual baseline, meaning no mods, for the car? Or was it with one or two mods already in place?

I don't know how much hp we lose getting from the engine to the tires, but I did some calculation. If your 224hp was a baseline, with no mods, that is 73.9% (I'll round to 74%) of the factory 303 hp rating. Assuming you lost the same percentage of power with the 276 hp rating, I calculated 372.98 hp (round to 373). How close am I?

Also, what do you suggest for those of us who don't live near a shop that can dyno tune stuff?
