yes, do the install your self and install a piece of flex pipe over the collector and cat inlet. just cut the pipe to size and lightly clamp the two together then drive to an exhaust shop and have them re
ove the flex pipe and weld the collector and cat inlet together. this is what im going to do. i dont want to get stoped for disturbing the peace and get fined for removing the cat. the flex will leak a little but it would only be temporary. open headers will be way... to loud. use the money that you would spend on a tow truck or install on a dyno tune

haha all this worry about being too loud i use to drive my off road truck (351w at the time) with opened headers on the street. Never got stoped, even pulled up to a cop at a stop light and all he did was give me the thumbs up HAHAHA.

yeah i dont think it would be a big deal to drive it to an exhaust shop open headers. i drove mine 80 to the exhaust shop with open headers with the 406 in it. that thing was pretty insanely loud.

How much money did Doug Thorley Headers charge us in full for these headers???????? My understanding that was we had enough people to drop the price below $600, correct? I want to know what everyone was charged before I go ballastic on them.
**EDIT**
I just spoke with Eric at DTH and they did over-charge me, they took the deposit again! I had 751 bucks in a set of $600 headers! He's working to correct it, hopefully asap so I can order a FWI today. Shipping was steep, ~$50 bucks, but I'll just chalk that up breaking even on what we saved with the group buy.

Ok, cool, after they correct the mistake mine will be $651 shipped.
*edit* I'm keeping a close eye on my bank account...................patiently waiting to receive my deposit back.

Seeing as how my car is STILL in the shop, I took the headers out of the box, took a picture, and put them back in the box.
I've been driving my mom's car ('03 Sentra with a 1.8L and auto) for 2 weeks now. Going to church last night, I put my foot on the floor, and it took waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long to get up to speed. And on top of that, the car is stock, so it sounded like an angry weedeater. I miss my car and it's power AND acceleration. Can't forget the sound, although mine will be changing a lot. I've almost got myself talked into getting Magnaflow mufflers instead of Flowmaster Super 44s.

The Vic is more comfortable, but a 14 year old car with no guts gets old fast lol

I'm wating for some of you guys with exhaust to hurry up and put your headers on so I can see what I want to do. I'm thinking about leaving the stock mufflers on and just putting a 3" cutout on it and maybe changing the stock **** tips too.
