supercharger question/suggestion Would this magnacharger work on our cars? The orientation is rite all they would have to do is make the snout a little longer. Maybe if they were contacted they could do it for us just wish i could afford it.

What are your thoughts? Do you think i could work? They make different length snouts so a slightly longer one would work. The black one sits to high not sure if there is some sort of inter cooler. This is my first lsx and i'm not sure about the dod.
Certain upgrades require you to disable DOD. Some people will see gains in mpg others like me will see as much as 10mpg lose by disabling it.
I dont think it will fit but maybe we can get someone to built a supercharger for us. It was hard enough to get a list of 30 people to get 600$ headers, i cant imagine how hard it would be to get a list of 30 people for a 4000$ supercharger set up.
I think you might have a better chance getting the 3800 series supercharger on our cars. Do the bottom of the superchargers have intake runners or something?

That supercharger is set up just like the one on gtp. The drive is on the front and intake at the rear. On this set up it is driven by the shaft on the side. If we could just take that off and drive it from the snout instead of the shaft.
I have not taken it on a road trip yet but in town i'm getting about 18-19mpg.

What about retro fitting a CSC kit or like a Vortech Centrical Kit. hmmmm
Or you can just get a STS universal kit.
I thought maybe like a MP112 or modified M90.

Battery wouldn't make that big of a difference. Plus it'd be A LOT easier to change... I swear it took an hour to get the damn dead Delco out... I've got big hands, though, don't help much.

Yes, replacing the OEM battery with an Optima was a biotch for me--it took a little over an hour for the swap (I too have big hands...which didn't help much). 9-10 mpg? Even in the winter, I would suspect either jack rabbit starts or heavy right foot or combination...unless there is something wrong with the engine or trans...brakes dragging...very low tire pressure...something like that.
Our cars are notoriously nose heavy already. Moving weight to the back of the car would help even out the weight distribution which would reduce understeer and improve cornering. It depends on the application. Not everyone is a drag racer.
