I miss the GXP, mostly, the TURBO :(

The detailed manual is available on the Cartuning website (Cartuning.ca) or more specifically

They quote 10 hours but recommended allowing 2 days..

I know of a lot of FWD that would destroy most RWDs, before you say, "Yeah, well they can't corner fast." The track is a straight line.

Why not just dump 10k into a 98 LS1 Z28??? Have a mean 9 sec or 10 sec daily runner?
Because everyone else in the world has done this.
I like rare cars, and mods.
I see a few z28s a day heading to work (shop).
Kids going to school mostly.
So there is nothing too unique about them.
I have maybe seen 2 GXP's on the road since I picked up mine.
Also when you work with corvettes
you want to have a big 4 door car with a real trunk.
atleast some of the time lol
For me if I was going to build a camaro,
I would just put that much more money into
the vette.

Many MANY cars on the road today come with Bilstien shocks, this doesn't necessarily make the car a track car because those Bilstiens arn't valved anything close to what they use in racing applications, or even for a base BMW for that matter...
Cross drilled rotors don't help you brake, and don't help keep the rotors any more cool, if they do anything at all they save some very minor rotating weight (at the cost of making the rotor weaker and having less swept area).
Staggered wheels are GM's cheap engineering to combat the 300+ft.lbs the cars make at the front tires, its simply cheap (but effective) engineering.
And manual mode? Are you kidding? Almost ALL cars on the road today have some sort of manual-shifting mode automatic.
The GXP is a quick sleeper sports sedan, but not a sports sedan in the same sense as a BMW M3 or CTS-V etc.

Also, in my view there is a limit to how much horsepower one can safely use on the street. Driving a 10-second car on the street is a hoot if the drivability is there, but you can’t unleash that kind of power in a non-controlled / police-patrolled / clueless driver-occupied environment, and it becomes no fun after awhile. I have seen drivers get in way over their heads because they got greedy, and unfortunately it takes an expensive lesson for them to learn their limits.
