Now your talking. What colors will the flames be? I think a grey fading to white would be badass

Normal lights

Sadly I have some red bulbs on the way...

And explain, Mel.

Dunno about the flames, though, lol.

Here's a few done right http://flatblackcars.com/ I've thought about a wrap.

I agree, a proper flat paint job with some red pin stripes would make it look like a monster.

my alero, done the right way, your car done the wrong way, there is a right and wrong way of doing things why you choose to do things the wrong way is beyond me

should have done it right the first time, would have saved ya money and time, and getting hassled

I usually respect "to each his own" and while I'm not jumping up and down for JP's car, I can't say that your Alero is the utmost standard of paint and body tastes and selection.

Sorry I have to be the *******, but if you like the way it looks then by all means proceed and forget anything I say.

Carry on.

i dont think it looks bad but arent you worried about chalking and what not? is it flat black or a black primer? i use to rattle can the 80 and it would chalk up and look all ashy and **** after a couple seasons. i eventually bought the hot rod black it was a reasonable price and has held up well for the last three years. unfortunately im not a body guy and the body work looks like *** but it was worth the experience of trying it. car craft actually did an article on it a year ago or what not. heres a link for the paint.

like i sadi i did my car the correct way, the right way....why well becasue i know what im doing, 20yrs as a body man doing things correctly is the way i was taught, and this kid just doesnt listen to people at all

nacho ss when you have a god given talent and can build a car with your own 2 hands then i would respect your opinion, but since you dont i just see it as another punk kid giving his opinion becasue mommy and daddy didnt buy it for him, so now hes gonna cry becasue he....sniff.....sniff.....doesnt have it

opinions are like ******** and apprently no one likes a custom car that was built correctly and hell!! maybe if i rattled canned it and left the damage from an accident ****!!! i guess i could be as cool as jpgxp, wow!!! why didnt i think of that

and what "stuff" is that boy???? hot rod flatz or using a black base coat and applying flat clear over it, like ppgs flex n flat clear, can be mixed to different degrees of gloss

you want true old skool, then hot rod flatz is the way to go, but i tried to tell you my experience with products and you apprently dont want to listen so at this point i dont care if you roll the paint on

i like a car done the correct way, not hacked up

I think this was a good way to confirm that a flat black paint job will look good on this body style.

The job you did isnt terrible, but I cant imagine that paint will hold up very well until next year.
