Default Z06 front brake conversion on GXP

Trying to make this swap work. Not sure if Im gonna use the 13" or 14" rotors or if this will even be a possibility. Work at a dealer so I have all the parts avail to me. Any info or telling me it cant work, please let me know

Any help would be greatly appreciated also!

I've seen this before on another site. It was a Fbody brake upgrade for a Wbody.

Shoot the pics don't show anymore.

GXP brakes are better than F-body brakes... As far as Z06s go, no clue. Good luck getting the GXP.

Welcome, I'd figure the 13" will fit since they're 12.7" in the front, but I'm not an expert to don't rely on me.

Question though, why'd to sell the third gen?

Id figured the 13" rotor also to keep that huge 6 piston caliper inside the wheel!

Sold the 3rdgen b/c I got engaged and have a stepdaughter now also in my life. I figured now having a family I cant live like I was single anymore!

If the brakes fit....does that mean that the rims would fit too?

What's the spacing and offset on the Z06 rims? GXPs rims are 5X115 and 40mm in the front and 55 mm in the back.

Congrats on the engagement! The GXP is a good mix of single guy and married man car.

Well we have a GS Vette on the showroom so I got some measurements from that and now I just need a GXP wheel to see how they'll fit. I might be able to fit the 14" rotor under there if Ive got enough room inside the wheel and behind the spokes so we'll see.

I really don't think it will work. I actually have a set of C6 Z06 brakes that I haven't installed in my Corvette yet but the offset on a fwd is totally different

Would it be worth it to switch the brakes from the GxP to the IMP,meaning front and rear rotors and calipers.Or would be worth buyin after market rotors and calipers, don't want to paint the stockers when the rims go on....

So its not 55mm in front and 40mm in back?? do you have those backwards or is that right...fronts are bigger than the rear...just clear that up...
