Z06 front brake conversion on GXP
theres also the CTS-V and Camaro options the CTS and camaro are both 4 piston but for a 110 for the cadys and 83 dollars a peice for the camaro calipers very addordable and in my eyes to good to pass up.and even adding another 60 bucks to package for the pin clips and pads.brings it up to 110 for the camaro calipers with pads,clip,and pins
Ok heres the small things that need to be done if doing this swap,the outer edge of rotor would need to be machined down so it doesnt touch inside caliper or grind down some of the 2 ribs on inside,I will get pics to show areas.Also need a spacer between hub and rotor to center rotor in caliper which by a micrometer is showing .07 but I think my spacer was 1/8 in.

Ok from what I can tell the master should work fine. Since the GXP basically have Vette brakes as it is and the master for any Vette from 05-08 are all the same, reg or Z06 it should work.

. SpeedFormula when are you looking at mounting these to your girls GXP? The bore is the same yes. The fittings are different, but that doesn't matter. Even though the bore size is the same I’m not sure what the stroke is. I do know that the GXP has better brakes then the MCSS and the IMPSS, aside from the Rotors being almost an inch bigger up front the calipers are different as well. I would assume that the caliper pistons would be bigger in size. If that’s the case you would have to have more pressure from the master cylinder to compensate for this. If anyone else has any input please give it.
I looked in to this today at work. Both the Z06 and the GXP use a 1'' bore and m12x 1.5 line fitting(which doesn't really matter but w/e). So as SpeedFormula said there shouldn't be any issues . SpeedFormula when are you looking at mounting these to your girls GXP?

The m/c's are diff GM part numbers but use the same cyl res, so Im not sure what the difference is internally on the two.
