Default Strange Trans Issue

I was driving to a friend's Saturday when my car got stuck in 3rd. Put it in Tap and it wouldn't come out of 3rd. I get there, put the car in park, turn the key off, and it keeps running for a couple seconds. I wait about a minute, started it back up and put it in Tap and it was still in 3rd, turned it back off and it done the same thing. Left it there.

Went to pick it up and bring it to the dealership Monday morning and it shifts perfectly. And has been since Monday morning. Been driving to see if it does it again.

Ideas? Car's sitting at 38K.

Weird. Maybe something in the valve body got clogged up?

Idk but sounds like it got its act together before you trade its *** in... haha
Maybe you should start looking at things over at TEP?

Maybe a fluid and filter change, have a look in the fluid and see if there are any clues...just a thought.

Had the fluid change last month. Guess I should've done the filter, too. May be to problem... I'll check it in the morning.

This is strange. We're electronically shifted...maybe it was something in the computer? You might just call up to the service dept. and talk to a tech...he might can tell you what it could have been.

The TCM is tuned, which I've considered could be the problem too.

doubt its the tune.. mine did the same thing a couple of times and just recently had the trans replaced.. they told me it was a line pressure issue something to do with the valve-body but if you plan on keeping the car i would recommend TEP . just might wanna look into it.
