Be aware that you MUST post pics after you paint and install it. I want this hood too just have to wait for the funds to be available. I am also curious if its possible to make that a true Ram Air intake. Props to your hood lol

the headers are paid off so I don't have anything on my plate right now so I figure its a good time as any. I bought a diablo tuner and shift kit along with the headers so I figure its time for an apperance mod.

Thats awesome. I'm jealous, man , can't wait to see it. Same here as DP ,may spring for it later in the year. Always on the lookout for a "used" one. I found a guy selling his GXP same color as mine with the inferno, but he wouldn't part it out. He was only an hour away from me, would have been perfect... Damn

It is true ram air, but the outlet is about 9 inches off, lol. The heat extractors work, as well.

I found that the heat extractors didn't really do to much, and the ram air ducts are useless. I have the carbon fiber hood, and it's for summer use only, cause I cut the back side of the hood out.

It's not going to make you go much faster but the visual is work every penny.

I've had alot of people think my car is a GTO or a G8.

I was spending all my money on power mods that I felt like it was time to add to the apperance and thats really all there is out there. I like the rims and we aren't able to tint front side windows so I think apperance wise this is the best bang for the buck.

power mods so far are res delete, cold air inductions intake, hamburger throttle body spacer, diablo tuned, headers/shift kit going on this weekend. Was going to do the magnaflow exhaust but I really want the hood instead.

Mine was a little high on the left too but it was just the strut. I've heard the early models had 'weaker' struts that don't bend the hood.

Newer ones have the problem with the strut out.. You can make it look ok..

I figured the strut was going to be a problem so I wasn't going to use one. Just paid my buddy for the hood as he is looking after everything for me. He is going to order it Monday. Can't wait to get this on.
