Pace Setter Headers
I just spoke with Tim from Pace Setter and talked to him about the lack of availability of headers for the LS4 car owners. He told me if he gets enough people calling and/or emailing them about this than they would seriously consider making them. I also told them as far as I knew, Thorley was the only one out there making them for our cars and that they are far from cheap! Please call them or email them with your enthusiasm. They keep a journal on requests from people like us and everyone who contacts them counts. Thank you for your support.

Do you have their email address or phone number on hand?? DT is seeing a couple problems with the flex and I'm sure PS would see some problems also, especially being a new build. But I'd be interested if the price is right!

Here's the contact info for Pace Setter, Phone: (602) 266-1964 I guess ask for Tim. Let them know why your calling, I'm sure they will ask for what type of vehicle and what not. I'm talking to people from other forums who have this engine in their car also. I know a lot of people on here have the DT headers but I personanly don't know anyone who could or would shell out $1300 for headers; correct me if I got the price wrong. How much of a difference does a 3" Hogan downpipe make on a stock GXP???

For the group buy, DT Headers were 650 I think. But by the time you get them installed, it'll proly be around 800-1000 if you don't do it yourself. If you didn't get in on the group buy, DT'd website has them listed as 960.

Considering Pace Setter would have to do basically NO R&D on these since Doug Throrley did it all, these should be cheaper. They'd just have to buy a set of the DT's and copy them. More options are ALWAYS a good thing.

Rick/Ted, I never really thought of it that way, do you think that's what they would do? Makes sense to me though, no R&D just copy and make them a little cheaper. Something around $400 or so would be cool with me, my wife does not let me spend money on stuff like this so I would have to hoard money for a year just to buy stuff like this.

Honestly, if I worked for a company that made headers, that's what I would do. It just makes sense. All the work is already done for you. Therefore they can make and then sell them for a cheaper price.

Good looking SS Rick! Well, not sure what to do with this, guess I can keep trying to get people to take the 10 minutes to call PS to express their enthusiasm. My GXP is stock, would a Hogan downpipe with high-flow cat do much for HP gains?

The DT headers are still $649.00 plus shipping. Just keep in mind that a cheaper header is not always a better choice as they will be constructed of much thinner material, not have the same warranty and will more than likely be made in another country.

Guarantee they won't be as pretty as a set of DTs either.

I would assume they would need someone local (Phoenix, Arizona). He also told me to check back and that they do have plans on making them. Here's the kicker: 6 months to a year since there's apparently something else on the list.
The more calls the better I guess.
