40,500 miles and it's official, the trans needs replacing
I don't know whats caused my trans to hold up when so many others have not. Tune, trans cooler, trans go shift kit. Had the tranny cooler and shift kit installed a week after i bought it. 07 GXP 109 km so far...?
I just hope the tech knew his **** on mine, because the warranty is up in November and I don't wanna haveto pay for this fix next time.
Ive got 43k on the clock, shes still shift strong. Its always seemed werid when shifting into OD like it slips in.. I dont know.. I dont care. lol. BLow bitch blow!!
Update #2, got the dealer rebuilt in, they drove it, started slipping, then got worse. They now have 'clearance' to put in a GM rebuilt trans... I did finally get a rental though, little Coby sedan.
OK, so the ' factory rebuilt' trans is in and guess what it's ******* slipping too. At least I got to halfway drive my car... I'm starting to get tired of this... I should have gotten the Cobalt SS/TC...
What's the next step? Do the put in a brand new trans? Are there even any? Can I make them put in a 6T75?

I know right... Well, this one was slipping because... THERE WAS A LOOSE HOSE... and it was low on trans fluid... Oh well, it's running properly for now. Let's hope it stays that way.
J/K!!
I wouldn't let those monkies touch any of my cars. I've heard too many stories like yours!
No, sorry, I mistyped that I guess, it was 5 quarts low from the loose hose that was leaking. But still, they gave it back with a leaking/loose hose and wanted to say it was something I had done to make it slip again. Needless to say, I'm traveling an hour next time to a different, better dealership, just went to that one because it was closer and more convenient, because I work in the same city.
