How wide are your wheels? I'd say 255mm wide, but you might rub. 245mm would be the safer bet. Anything but the 225's you have now!

yea i know. the 20s are sitting in my garage and i have the stock wheels on now and damn what a difference. the offset on the wheels is +37 so they stick out a little more but not much. i was thinkin 245s also. i wish i could go like 255s on the fronts at least

20's=
If I had a Monte, I'd do some 15's with raised white letters 245/60/15 on all four corners!
This is just me though..

^^^ These cars won't look right with anything smaller than a 17" wheel. Maybe a 16" wheel, but definitely not a 15"!

255's should be ok in the front, it's the rears that rub first. I'd do 245's all the way around, that way you can rotate.

I've got 255/35/20's at all four corners on American Racing wheels 20x8.5 with a +35 offset. No spacers or anything. Never rubbed in the front, not even once. The rear I will rub just a bit if I have people in the back and I hit a bump that really compresses the suspension... But even that is fairly few and far between...

Anywho, just posting to show 20's with 255's will work. Can post photos if you think you want to see if it's what you are looking for....

nice car and pics. the thing im worried about is i plan on lowering it in the future and i was going to see if it looks like the inner fender on the rear looked like it would come into contact with the tire if the car came down

I'm running 245/35 all around on my 2000 SS. 255 is really not worth the headache. Some NEXEN or Sumitomo HTRZ III would be a good choice.
