Holy moly it was just a frikkin drag race. G8 was packing an extra 250+ lbs. cargo.

On paper is on paper, and just because things look like they ought to be a certain way doesn't mean they are. Otherwise the Israelis would have never won a war.

Allow me to return to my days of reckless youth, when I raced a buddy in his parents' 65 Electra 225 401/325 hp THM 3-speed 3.07 final drive 4200 lbs. in my parents' 62 Caddy 390/325 hp 4-speed Hydramatic 2.93 rear gear, 4660 lbs.
Dead even 0-90. Doesn't make sense, but it did happen that way.

Every car runs a little different. Two GP GXPs with 20,000 miles and identical driver weights will probably not run dead even at the track.
