So what kind of average MPG's are you guys seeing with the tune and no DOD? I average about 17.8mpg right now and just wondering if that will stay the same or get better/worse after I tune it?

So I ordered the U7191, now am I gonna feel a big difference with just that?

After I get the DiabLew tune how much do you gain over programmer only?

Has anyone had any dyno and/or track results before and after?

I also have a funny idle issue so hopefully something will show up on the logs and then I will be able to fix it once and for all, just feels like its missing a little at idle.

I have been here longer than almost all of you so that should compensate for my noob questions.

I find it funny/awesome that you got better MPG after DOD is turned off! I can't wait till I get my tune I hate it when DOD kicks in.

for the 08 GXP, you'd need a U7194 model Predator, or the Trinity...

Ya im confused too! So GM changed the ecm in the 07 model Montes and 07-08 Impys but not the GXP?

well, there are no 08 montes LOL

sorry for the confusion, my bad!... for the grand prix gxp 5.3L, it's 2006 only....

for the G8 GXP with the 6.0 / 6.2L engine - 2008-2010 - yes, they are supported...

my mistake, sorry... have been helping a lotta people lately with their "G8" GXP's... so when I hear "gxp", I've been automatically thinking about the new gxp's... forgot where I was lol...

Well, our Impala SS gets 98% highway miles...about 1000 a week, and our mileage went up nearly 1 MPG (on a calculator, not the DIC, which becomes even more inaccurate after a tune). Since, we drive all-highway, we retained DoD, as we lost 2 MPG from stock just by turning off DoD.

Most of the owners that gained MPG saw those gains becuase they drive primarily in stop-and-go situations in the city. It seems that DoD does hurt mileage in that kind of driving. If you drive a lot of highway miles like we do, keeping DoD makes financial sense, even if it does hurt the fun-to-drive factor.
